blue shell.jpg This 13mm round has a strange case or "thimble" around the top of the projectile. There is no fuse - can anyone tell me anything about this capping? Should it have a hole in the nose? Basically, how did it work?
Thanks.

German 13mm MG131 incendiary (red) Tracer. The fuse is the primer 1465.
