THIS WHISTLE CAME IN A BOX WITH SOME OLD WW1 BITS & PIECES, WHEN BLOWN IT MAKES A "WOOOH" SOUND AT A LOW PITCH, IT'S VERY WELL MADE BUT WITH KNOW MARKINGS,NOTE THAT WHEN OPENED IT SHOWS A GIRO MOUNTED WHEEL THAT WHEN THE AIR PASSES THROUGHT IT GIVES IT THE "WOOOH" SOUND. Its known as a 'siren' whistle......I'm afraid I cannot tell you much about it, or them in general, but have seen them on ebay and the like. Quite collectable I think. Maybe someone else can help you out with more details
