Hello,

I have this picture of a No3 grenade (I can't remember where I found it). Looks like a No3 MkII but the brass base is not cylindrical and looks like a base of No20 MkI ??

Regards

I suppose the simplest explanation would be that a rod and base-plug from a No 20 has been exchanged with the No 3 base-plug and rod. If the base-plug on the grenade in the photograph is drilled and tapped for a spring clip then it all gets very complicated :)
