This bomb has been found last week in a Swiss lake. Could it be possible british disgn? Lengt approx. 125cm diameter approx. 40cmBCON.jpgBCON_1.jpgHECK.jpgZnder.jpg

Photo 3 looks like a British Pistol, and pic 2 shows yellow paint present, so I Would say there is a very high posibility that its British, but im sure the experts will confirm. not sure of pic 4 at all. anyone ?

If I let go my imagination, I should say :

pic 1 : british hanging lug
pic 2 : rear groove for fixing british tail cone
pic 3 : tail pistol No 28 or 30
pic 4 : no imagination enough !!! (but possible locking ring of british nose pistol No 44)

But, it's only imagination.

With the given dimensions, I should say a GP or MC 1000 lb. (I use the same steel brush !!!)
When I look on pic 2 and 4, I go more to a GP as to MC.

Sorry, all the text and comments are in french, but I don't think that it's giving a big problem in Switzerland !

Thanks to Mr henri Belot for the drawings and documentation.

I hope this can help you to identify your swimming bomb !
