Can somebody identify the manufacturing date of the shell in the attached picture 376a.jpg? Would the projectile in picture 376b.jpg (21cm long) belong to this shell?
Ballpark guess is late 1800s up through WWI. The case isn't dated. Are there any dates on the projectile or fuze? How about a side photo of the entire cartridge case.
Also, can anybody identify the 40(or 42)x159mm shell in the attached pictures 181a.jpg? Does anybody know the reason for the sloped base as seen in picture 181a2.jpg.
