This fuse was on a 60mm round I bought about 15 years ago. I have never seen one like it before. It is marked, very faintly, P.M.C. P.D.F. M52, it is so faint I couldn't photograph it. Any help in identifying it would be appreciated.
At first I thought the pin sticking out of the top had come from inside and punched through. If you look closely you can see that the fuse is made that way it has not come from inside.
I see what you mean. When I look at a cutaway drawing of the M52 fuze, I see that the pin is surrounded by a shaft that is similar to the one I have sticking out of my fuze. I wonder how this would have happened?
Earlier I had posted a question about a fuze. I found out that it had been damaged, so I decided to repair it, to look like it should before the damage. I think it turned out pretty good. Check the photos.
