Early 1500's, Italy. If you like knights in shining armour (literally), this film is for you https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0245276/. The authentic looking garbs, uniforms, cannons and vehicles stunned me. Directed by Ermanno Olmi. Remember a movie called "The tree of wooden clogs"? He made it.
P.S. I especially like the white lap dog held by Federico Gonzaga (1500-1540)
