Incendiary flechette ?

Can someone identify this item for me it looks a lot like an item from Mr Belot's book see photo.
Item is about 45 cm long and diameter 5 cm.

Definitely an incendiary flechette Chris, but a slightly different model. Not see that one before.
 
Hello Chris,
The incendiary flechette from Belot's book comes from Belgian EOD school. The small dart below also comes from the same museum and was on original ww1 display of Belgian "Battaille" Bombs.
So my guess, a Belgian invention.
