Indian Maoist Grenades

The article didn't say about the material, from the look of the metal and the quantity of them found in one raid I'd imagine they are casting from a soft easy metal like aluminum.

any info on the internals, do they work like mills bombs or are the internals totally different?

I'd go for aluminum judging by the appearance and the fact that the Indians a doing lots of things from cast aluminum.

It seems those Indian Maosits (funny bunch I never heard of - shows how little we are aware of) are also using regular produced grenades from several countries (China, Pakistan and others) as can be seen here:

Another variation of the Mills 36 by the look of it. The first reference to Indian terrorist copies I've found goes back to the 1920's. Not much changes!
