Hi, I'm reading a fascinating book about Teledyne Ryan drones (W. Wagner, Fireflies and other UAVs). Some pictures intrigued me because I did not recognize the bombs used during the test of the BGM-34A/B defense suppression drone (see the attached photos).
The first is the SPASM "Self-Propelled Air-to-Surface Missile" or "Self-Propelled Air-to-Surface Munition" (third picture). From the details I digged from Internet it seems an USA guided bomb developed in the '70, (maybe) a Mk-81 updated with a laser seeker.
The second bomb is the "Stubby Hobo", apparently one of the first guided bombs of the HOBOS series, but I did not find any trace of the bomb depicted in the 2nd and 3rd pictures: the big bomb under the drone wing (the other one is a Mk81 as counterweight) and the bomb in flight just second before hitting the target). It seems too different from the first HOBOS bombs, i.e. shorter body, larger and longer fins... but could be only my imagination.
You can see both bombs in the last picture, Stubby Hobo at the left behind the Snakeyes and two SPASM at the right.
Does anybody know something else? Thanks a lot in advance.
