Got this at the Arlon Fair yesterday & a bit intrigued/confused!

I am sure it is a German 30mm MK108 but it appears to be a drill/training round?
Projectile is hollow aluminium with turned aluminium solid(dummy) fuze.
Case is steel & hollow & primer receptacle has no flash over hole.
No markings/headstamp.
Case is quire pitted & apperars to have been painted/laquered. Proj is in excellent condition, so wondering if they belong together?

Afraid no ruler to hand. Did think proj may be a 30mm Aden one but I am sure it is too long.
Approx tip to top of neck is 4 inches
