Hi All.
Anyone got good info and pics on the L25 Grenade Fuze and the changes that were made to it from A1 through to A6?
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Paul

I've looked it up in a couple of official documents but they were not very helpful.

One said "Grenade Fuze Percussion - Grenade A/Pers L2"

The other said "Grenade Fuze Details in A&ER VOL 3, PAM 13 Part 2".

Both had it listed as Obsolescent.

Paul,

Sorry for the delay. Briefly, Fuze, Grenade, Percussion:

L25A1 - Not introduced into service due to safety issues.
L25A2 - Differs from the A1 in having modifications to improve safety and to prevent malfunctions of the safety pin.
L25A3 - Fitted with a stronger striker spring than the A2 and had a slightly modified body.
L25A4 - New pattern of striker mechanism with a modified striker, spring and adapter assembly.
L25A5 - New detonator make up.

I will pm the A6 differences when I find the information.

Just to conclude this:

The Fuze L25A6 differs from the Fuze L25A5 in being fitted with a new design of percussion cap and a new design of delay tube.
