Is it a fuze? And if it is, what piece would it be?

Hello! Well, I'm asking you to help me see if there is anyone who knows what this is... it looks like a kind of fuse but I don't know...Thx!

Its a base fuze for the 2pdr AP MkI projectile. Nice condition and worth a minimum of 50 quid. If you search the forum using 2 pdr etc its quite good and should help you learn a bit. Cheers Tig.
 
No. 281 Mk I, Percussion Base Fuze
Manufactured by "VAEL" - Vickers Armstrong, Elswick in March 1938
Filled by "W" - Royal Arsenal, Woolwich in November 1939.

Hello! Thank you for the information!! As soon as I can I will put it with a label with the information you have given me! I was looking in the wrong country... it came out at a fair in a lot that the seller told me was all German material... I'll look for 2 pdr in the forum!

I think it's actually Vickers Armstrong Engineering Limited...VAEL
