JU-87G AP Projectiles

To add to the thread on the projectiles used by the JU-87G fitted with the BK 3.7cm guns pictured are 2 recovered examples of the AP-H projectiles from the Rechlin test range. I will not offer a designation as these 2 examples may be for development or test. They have different body shapes, particularly at the rear. One is flat bottomed and the other has a pronounced central tracer cavity. The flat bottomed projectile (on the left) is 94mm long and weighs 450g the other (more pointed) is 95mm long and weighs 415g, both are pictured against the normal 37mm APHE. I understand that the service 3.7cm H- Pzgr was 114mm long and so these examples may represent an earlier phase of development or ongoing efforts to improve performance or save Tungsten.
