"L" Delay Tin 1942.

I found this tin for "L" Delays Assorted (A) 10 dated 9/42. I guess "L" delay is a type of time pencil.

Does assorted mean that the tin contained different delays and not all the same?
The tin is 100 x 128 x 20mm dimensions.
Unfortunately the label under the lid has rusted but is still readable for the delay use. Any info appreciated. Ron.

That exactly what it means, assorted time delays.
