Hi All thought I would show you what I have just done, as I like grenades and being jobless and not being able to work and money is as tight as a ducks bum under water, I thought I would have a go at making a L109A2 Grenade well the body anyway, my good friend Tony(smle2009) let me have a leaver kit which set the ball rolling and as the fuzes are like hens teeth to get hold of so I thought I would improvise, as the M228 fuse has the same thread and size so with a bit of filing it will fit which I acquired from Siegfreid, next I made a det out of aluminium tube, I then made a template for the body and turned it in my lathe I had a bit of carvers plastic block and is very light and would not crack over time, then i gave it a coat of paint and with the kind help from Paul the grenade he let me borrow his stamp kit to finish it off I was not to fussed about getting the stencils perfect as wanted it to look warn.

Hi Dave, thanks but the thing is i don't like replicas i am just doing it as a stand in until things pick up, got to do something to keep the old gray matter going.

Thanks Tony that's very kind of you, couldn't do it full time but would always try and help out if anybody wants anything done.
