Length of shellcases, experimental or unfinished production?

Question about longer shellcases:

I have a discussion with a fellowmember about the length of shellcases.
He told me he has this 35x238instead of the normal 35x228 Oerlikon shellcase. He told me the 35x238 was especially meant for an experimental APFSDS-T projectile.
I told him I have the same with a27x145 mauser cartridge that has a length of 155 mm.

In my opinion both shellcases are unfinished products, shellcases that still had to be trimmed to length.
I have this production board, showingthe stages of manufacturing shellcase and projectile by stamping , rolling and drawing, and at one of the last draws the shellcase is 237mm.
Does anybody have an official listing or a description of experimental elongated shellcases.

Can anybody tell me more.

Thanks in advance,

Regards, DJH

Just bumping this thread.
Both of the longer versions are listed in Robert Hawkinsons listing as being apfsds versions. I don't know what his source of information is though.
Dave.
