Here are some good footage of Mines in Libya that i have been Researching ! Not alot has changed just new materials, I would have thought that they would have used the pot mines to protect the A/T mines but there using them to set the a/t mines off ! are the anti tank mines fuzed ? thats maybe why there using the smaller ones ! still i wouldnt like to stand on one of them !

I like the brick idea to dispose of them but they will run out of bricks looking at the pile !

Judging by the images the T72SP AT mines were unfuzed, seems they used the AP mines just a substitute fuze. The system is used elsewhere too, just that the AT mines are made to accept the AP mines.

But once we are on the T72SP, is there anybody with info on these?

The AP mines certainly pack a punch, i think you would lose more than a leg if you stepped on one. Any info on these Brazilian AP mines.

The mine Type T72SP is a track-attracting anti-tank mine equiped with electronical anti-lifting device. It can be used with the conventionel metallic case anti-tank mine type T72, usually in the ratio of 1 for 4, to form mine field or mine group to deprive the midium tank or wheeled vehicule of their mobility by destroying their track or running gear. T72 SP is difficult to be manually lifted and may place great threat to the lifter, thus effectively increases the stability of the mine field.

Mogway, thank you very much! How is the anti disturbance unit activated as I can't make out any S&A parts in the video where they are showing the bottom side of the mine?

The anti-disturbance unit is located below the mine and is a ball with two contactors. The system is similar to the AP Mine Type 72B.

How does the Tab-1 AP mine work, looking at it, it seems to have the same firing mechanisim as the British Else AP mine but there is no mention of ball bearings that would work it, is it an electronic switch?

The type T72SP mine is initiated by a mechanical igniter but she also has a electronical anti-lifting device.
The T-AB-1 in turn is initiated by a mechanical igniter.
