Hi. Is anyone able to identify what this is. I found it while detecting an old WW2 anti-aircraft site. (4.5in guns) To me it looks like it could be for carrying shells by screwing into the fuze position ? The handle strap is maleable and is made up of layers of soft metal with wire mesh between for strength.
