A remarkable documentary about USN pilot Dieter Dangler who was shot down over Laos in 1966 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0145046/. Like Werner Herzog (who wrote, produced and narrated this film), Dieter grew up in post IIWW Germany, and the beginning of the film is dedicated to this period, with interesting news reels. This movie is a must for anyone interested in Vietnam War.
