Live round found detecting, advise please?

Hi there, was out today with the metal detector over some local ground and found what seems to be a live round but the with the actual bullet missing. The case measures 3cm tall and has a 1cm base(un-struck), it is also filled with white power. What should i do? do you reckon its safe?

Best thing to do is not to touch it, (too late now though) and call the police who will task EOD do deal with it. They will not mind being called for such a small item. If it is dangerous, it is best dealt with by trained people.

From your description of what you have found we are only able to guess at what it could be, And as you have suspected its a "live" item please follow the advice offered and report it to the local police who will arrange for the item to be taken care of.
