Algerie, 1954, the very beginning of the Algerian War http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2936180/. If you like antique guns, this is your movie. Filmed in Morocco, it is very picturesque, showing Mars like landscapes of the desert, as rocky and omni-directional as the conflict itself. Good show by Viggo Mortensen.
