Looking for original source information on the British close support QF 3-inch 2-cwt Howitzer Mark I & IA

Hey guys,

I am asking for help in finding information on the 3" close support howitzer as used in the British WWII cruiser and infantry tanks, plus maybe information on the Emission Smoke projectile for the 3.7" Mortar if it was ever issued (I do not think it was).

I am trying to close the information gaps in my notes on the British 3.7" Mortar, 3" Howitzer, and 95mm Howitzer, used in the WWII era for close support work. I intend to do a short write-up/article on the subject assuming I can ever find the info.

The only mention of an original source for information on the 3-inch 2-cwt Howitzer that I have run across so far is in the AWM (Australian War Memorial) archives and has not yet been digitized. It is listed as:

"Royal Armoured Corps weapons. Part II, The 3-inch Howitzer Marks I and IA / prepared under the direction of the Chief of the Imperial General Staff."

I understand that there is a Royal Armour Corp Ordnance Pamphlet also but have not found any additional info regarding same.

The following images show information contained in sections from the "Handbook for the Q.F. 3.7-in. Mortar on Mark I Mounting in Marks II*, II** and IIA Medium Tanks" dated 1936, which describes the basic weapon (weights, dims, muzzle velocity, etc), the text description of the ammunition, and Statement of Ammunition types. I am looking for the equivalent information for the 3-in Howitzer, ideally from a similar document or another document with similar original source data. But any original source data would be appreciated.

Any help would be appreciated. :)
