M 119 Crate

I've come across a crate that I am trying to ID. I cannot find a reference to it in the files so I am at a bit of a loss and am hoping that some of the more knowledgeable minds here can help. It has pigeon holes for 24 ? grenades or what have you. On one end it has M 119 in the wood and a date of 1942. Looks to my inexperienced eye as having many build similarities to many of the commonwealth boxes that are around. Can anyone ID? here are some pics. Enjoy and thanks in advance.

It's not in my list of stuff but the big "N" stamped on one end and the colour indicate it is Naval
