I have 2 identical fuzes fuze nose C.P T105 & fuze C.P M78A1 025 SEC both of them are identical,i am assuming the "T" is for TEST dated 1944 and the M78A1 is dated 1945.

Can anyone shed any light on these 2 fuzes,i have no reference to them at all,and what shell do they go on.

Thankyou

In British service the M78A1 was used used with US Shells, HE M101, M106 and M107 for the 155mm Gun, 8-inch How and 155mm How respectively. Graze action for use against concrete targets.

They are the same fuze, when standardized, the T105 became the M78. CP stands for concrete piercing.
