I picked this up at a local auction. But for all of it's faults I'll keep it as it appears to be a Mk1.
Of course these range pickups are unlikely to have the nose from the same body aside from being generally hammered by impact. The state of this one was;
The nose cap had been partiialy resoldered, I couldn't remove it. The inner plate/socket the the fuze screws into was loose inside and whats
left of the fuze can't quite be screwed in totally. The fuze base is jammed into the brass fuze ring and won't come out without destroying
one or the other. So I put it together as best I could and filled the gaps with metal epoxy so at least it looks reasonably decent.
It didn't cost much so I'm happy with it in any event.

I have a similar projectile dated 12/12/99. 12/99 with a No 56 Mk 1V fuze. Nice old items.
