Markings on ECC 25Pr/17Pr cartridge.

Hello,
Last week I found this bottom part of a 17Pr cartridge.
Looking at the markings, there is a small 'B' in the LOT-marking, making it look like L[SUP]B[/SUP]OT

I recognized it and after a quick search in my collection I found this 25Pr, which also has a small B.

Both cartridges are made by ECC, Edward Curran Co. of Cardiff, but not all of my ECC cartridges are marked this way.
Does anyone know what this little B may mean?

If bothh cases made at the same factory, then I think just an inspector's mark and he had his particular place where he liked to stamp it.

Thank you. I already thought it would be something like that, but I just wasn't sure.

Another question regarding markings on a 17Pr.
Anybody who knows what a '+' in a triangle denotes, like the one in this picture?
