Placing projectiles on and linking a few .50 caliber cartridges on a lazy Sunday afternoon.....
I pulled a tracer projectile from a Salt Lake 1942, tracer cartridge and I noticed there was something stuffed inside the casing.
Unfortunately, it took a long wood screw, modified vise grips and some tweezers to get it out.
The images are self explanatory and dated 4, January 1944.
There is a hand written message on the side that says:
"This is what we are learning a lot about. They expect everyone to (illegible). Don't want us to get caught with our pants down."
