Yet another question for the Mills experts, I recently found a few parts for a 36M Mk 1. One is a base plug in brass, I have never seen one before, are these common?
It is marked 36M, MK 1, AF, 43.
Thanks,
Derek
they are no where near as common as the zinc alloy ones, i believe only about 5% were either brass or iron jobbies during WW2. I have 3 drill grens with the same brass plug, 43 and 44 dated and havnt seen any brass ones from another maker. Dosnt mean they wernt made by other companies though.
