mills plug with no stamp

unearthed in the region of comines (belgium) several plugs without marking .... I thought one was a production error, but more than that is probably intending?

French plugs were not marked. You might also find that the threads are slightly too big (> 1.25 inch) to fit a British made No.5.
 
Very interesting as most of the French Mills grenades were used or destroyed by December 1916 - before the battle of Messines.
 
yes, it's true I admit I'm a naughty joker ... I unearthed them in 1916 and returned them in 1918..pfuuuu
for those who still know how to use a shovel, I offer a tent in the back of my garden.
