Mine Markers.

I show a group of items I purchased used by engineers or EOD. Group photo shows the lot.
This aluminium body and plastic top marker I am told was placed next to mines. This is a green top for safe mines. A red top was for un-safe mines and seems to take a size D battery.
I would like to know the exact use of this item and approximate date of use. Was it used at night time? The globe does not show well in the photo.

Very interesting . My item may be missing the outer case? No gasket. Definitely a green top 43mm diam, base is 37.5mm. 108mm overall. Thanks.
