Model 1882 French ball grenade

Here is one I am looking to add to my French WW1 grenade collection. Thinking about it. What I am looking for is what would be a good price to pay for this grenade (left picture). These are by no means common especially with a half way decent original fuze. This is the one France entered the war with. Post Franco-Prussian war, I just don't see these around. Would like opinion of value of this piece from some of our more sage collectors. Also looking for opinions on the model 1847 French ball (3inches in diameter) which is smaller than the standard ball. This is primarily a Franco-Prussian war grenade but limited numbers of left over stock found their way into World War One (right picture). This is a very tough one to find. It is also available for purchase and would again like opinions as to its value... Thanx in advance........Dano

Hi dan.
If i remember well. i paid about 80 for mine years ago. The fuze is the rare part of the gren and im sure a very good one would push the price right up.
Cheers, Paul.

Thanks Paul, That is "balls on" with what I was thinking, add the passage of years and I think the prie I was given by seller to be about correct. Pricing is a funny thing. If 10 years ago if I was aware the market would go through the roof i'd have invested much into the grenades/ordnance. Thanx again.dano
