Modern Chinese aircraft bombs and aircraft ordnance

EOD

Well-Known Member
While researching Chinese aircraft ordnance I found that there is not too much out in public about modern Chinese aircraft ordnance (aircraft bombs, missiles etc.).

If anybody has images or designations and info on such ammunition I would be happy to see it here. So even if little and random it would be good to see and maybe have comments on from anybody interested in this subject.

I found that even the web is not very promising. While there are some images of shiny and polished exhibits (or rustend "museum exhibits" having about 27 layers of unrelated paint) there is almost nothing shown on actual ammunition meant for use like life and practice versions which bear the full markings as per the (Chinese) manual.

Here some little I have found:

I have a NORINCO catalogue from 2009 which includes six pages on aircraft bombs, with small illustrations and basic data on 13 different bombs.

It seems that I remember U.S. Subs posting some photos on BOCN of a Museum in china, where there were a number of bombs displayed.

Hazord, I remember those and reviewed them when he posted them. The shown types there are all rather old models.

Tony, is that the sam style catalog in A5 format as they issued it in 2012 at the ES in Paris?
If your catalog is in any way better it would be of interest to see more of it probably?

Here some pics, found them on the net but don't know where.

Tony, so your 2010 catalog is different then. If you won't mind to share the data from there?

Blu97, thanks a lot. Too bad the markings are illegible/covered by the metal bands securing the items (gosh, I hate that in musuems!).

Here some pics, found them on the net but don't know where.

The center one is a copy of the British BL755 then and the right one a copy of the French Durandal. Also I have seen them using HE bombs with what looks like a copy of the US M904 fuze.
Seems the Chinese are back to copying - now more sophisticated systems. I thought that stopped some 30 years ago.
