Can anyone identify what this muzzle cover is from?

Canvas, 1943 dated, 2 1/2 inches diameter, about 10 1/2 inches long.
The only markings are the maker H&S 1943, and No 4 CM 231B (The B might be 0 D or 8)

It's not a muzzle cover, it's a mop cover for a 2 pdr pull through. Known as cap, sponge, no 4.
Usually have a drawstring though and muzzle covers have a strap so I'll check the CM number and confirm either way!

Thank you tankbarrell.

I’ve had a closer look and there are four holes for a drawstring. The strap has a faint S&P maker mark and 1943 date, so it looks like the strap was added as a modification to replace a drawstring.
