My cut downs and trench art lamp

Hi these are my Falklands 105mm fd cut downs with Falklands coins , (another on the way ) , I got this old Lamp made from an Italian naval case 102/45 4 inch case , had really old wiring WWII ??? if anyone knows the light fitting , I couldn't use this part far to old , so re-wired the lamp put a new fitting in and a shade , gift from a friend , took a while to clean up but its now safe and Functional has a new life and will be used every evening , 25 pdr ash tray (don't smoke ) and a anti submarine motor cut down ,
a part of the lamp fitting that I cant use has SPERRYN&C BIRMINGHAM

Hi Ken,
Thanks for posting these, i have been saving all my old cut down ash trays and damaged cases for a project, i do have one lamp i got from the US years ago and like you had to re-wire the whole thing. Its a WW2 dated 40mm Bofors, best regards Weasel.

Thats brilliant mate , its great when you can actually use them , ive kept the old fittings apart from the wires and it was like bakalite ?? It crumbled when i took it out , really happy with it enery bulb in it old meets new , I've been lucky with the 105 cut downs as they have been machined down , 1 slipped through the net on ebay i got it for £5 delivery was dearer at 6 got it next day , the one i won yesterday, has 3 rounded parts for cigs ,but not bothered it will clean up ,

Ken,

There is a bit of irony there; Sperryn were government contractors during WWII and although shown as shell manufacturers. However, I can find no contracts for them. Their main trade was the manufacture of gas and water plumbing components then latterly electrical fittings.
