Just received a first addition "Jane's Infantry Weapons (1975). Great book and reccommend it highly if you ever come across one. This edition was Jane's fist attempt at putting all of the infantry's weapons under one cover, and they did a great job at it too.:tinysmile_fatgrin_t

I agree the first edition is great, my brother has one, and I still refer to the second edition, even the late Peter labett got a guernsey in it.

I agree the Janes books are excellent , but too expensive to buy new i have 3 Janes books that i consult a lot they are

Explosive Ordnance disposal 1St edition 2001/2

Mine Clearance 6th edition 2001/2

Airlaunched weapons 38th edition

I was very lucky 3 years ago and bought all 3 on ebay,

Jane's

I have Jane's Infantry Wepons 1977. I bought it at a second hand book store way back in the 90's for $40.00 and was sure I just scored the deal of the century. It is still my best general referance book on the shelf. It stays on the shelf next to my copy of Small Arms of the World by W.H.B. Smith (sixth edition 1960).
