Hi all, not a serious collector, but a few bits I have accumulated over the years

Nice collection.

Hi Dave 8742 and a very nice start to any collection mate!
I do trust that the 4.5 Naval "Flash" projectile is empty ?
Some nice rounds you have there and are you intending to expand the collection in the future ?
Enjoy the hobby and be safe.

And the Number 94 Rifle grenade is in exceptional condition and the best example I have ever seen.

Hi Chris, had most of this 10-20 years, the flash is empty, although very heavy, in hindsight I wish I had bought all what the guy was selling, he had this and 2 simlar size projectiles in the cartridges, but they were huge, re. the rifle granade bought that at a boot sale for 25 about 10 years ago stopped collecting as never seen much to buy these days, bid on a few hand granades on ebay only for the auction to be cancelled, re-kindled my interest as just bought a metal detector, and found part of a fuse that someone directed me to this site, and I had it ID'd on here. I was going to put a WWI shell I also have up for trade for a WWII item, but forum won't let me, think I have to pay to join

Excellent example of the 94 gren practice marker. I remember destroying a large ammount of legacy stock of these in Hong Kong in the late 70's early 80's. It was achieved by laying the fin units out on a stretch of roadway in the ammunition depot and getting our beach clearance bulldozer to run over them. The remains were then sold as scrap. I bet we didnt get 25 per item! The chalk filled heads just got discarded as general waste. What a waste!

I was told at the time of purchase that the gren practice marker came from Northan Ireland, I just remember thinking at the time I must have it as its looked well cool !

Great start to your collection, you have some nice items there and all in great condition.

Thanks for showing,
Darren
