Please help identify this morter round. I think it may be Italian but I am not sure. Should it have an ogive/fuse adaptor in the nose? I would really like to find a fuse for this nice round. THANKS! Pat

Morning Pat. The nomenclature and font looks Italian (books are packed). If so, it should take a similar adapter to the US M43 and one of the standard Italian fuzes from the time period (looks like some of their WWII stuff). Might have a spare at home, give me a call after I get back.

I am not sure but I think the U.S. came up with that exact design first. It seems to have been quite sucessful and was copied by many countries. Pat
