Mystery Arrow Head Projectile

Hi Guys, I've had this proj since I was kid and finally wanted a definitive identification as to what it is. I've always thought it was a Russian AT round but as to what kind, I have no idea. What are your thoughts?

Thanks,

Greg

Some measures would be helpful. But I guess it's an AP projectile for the russian 45mm AT gun.

Cheers

Sorry Engineer:tinysmile_hmm_t2: Length is 13 cm, diameter is 4.5 cm. Seems to be solid metal with a aluminum cap.

Greg

Greg, it has a tungsten carbide core inside (unless someone removed it).

The cartridge designation is: UBR-243P
The projectile designation is: BR-243P

That's a lovely projectile Greg, the ones that come on the market are so often rough condition.
See the following link - post 1. The 45mm is to the right in photo 1 and the last 2 photos in post 1 show the projectile with cap removed to show the core (which has been covered in grease).

There's a case for one for sale on Specialist auctions. It may be a little early for the arrowhead projectile (I'm not sure if they were around in 1936) but the case is the correct one:

Thanks Dave. I've never bid on specialistauctions.com. I assume it's like eBay but with more interesting items. I think shipping will kill me but now that I know what to look for, maybe I'll find a casing here in Canada.

Cheers,

Greg

The seller is a very well respected member of BOCN - it could be worth you getting in touch with him direct?
