There is an old lighthouse (it is stll functional) which is a museum. The following is a view from about 200 feet up. Also, if you go, definitely go to the beach, it is totally tropical, like the Bahamas. There is also a Civil War era Fort Barrancas on the grounds, but it is closed due to hurricane damage. Some of you, especially Arkansas residents, will be happy to hear that my old camera has died smack in the middle of my visit and I am using a much newer camera. So photos may be better.
