Newmann Greande?

I'm looking at a document that's talking about a ammunition factory in the UK in the Second World War. It's talking about how it can easily be switched from its primary role, and indeed has been, to a general ammunition factory. The document says it's currently producing 'Newmann Grenades'. Now, I've never heard of these, but that's hardly empirical. But neither has google.

Anyone able to shed some light on what grenade the document is talking about? Relevant section of the doc:

Thanks,
