Next OF1 Dano conquest

OFI next Dano conquest

This will be the next U.S. WW1 grenade conquest i'll be after. If beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, then I be beholdin' this one. The French OF1 (this beauty retains 75% of original bleu paint) along with the French F1 with 1916 Billant automatic fuze were thr two "biggies" carried by "the doughboys" after the MKI failed in service. This one is the offensive model with light sheet tin and blast effect so it could be thrown in open with minimul amount of distance and not requiring to throw from behind cover such as the FI. After that I guess I will have to "bite the bullet" and get a U.S. MKI, but must secure a ski-mask and visit a bordega first!!! (joking)...Dano
P.S. Still always on the lookout for German WWI grenades/ordnance and I have a few projects to keep me busy in the mean time. Since I get paid just once a month, Dano has to be careful with the cash and the old lady
(love of my life) is behind me 100% (she actually thinks grenades are cool) though not as much as a fine pair of tweety bird pajamas!!!!!!!!!Dano - HOW SWEET IT IS!!!

Good luck Dano, keep us updated on your search and progress. The interesting part will be finding an affordable one in good shape. I look forward to seeing your future conquests!!

U.S. French connection

Well Hink, I found one in fantastic condition but the price is scary to say the least. I like it enough that I may just have to bite the bullet and get robbed (purchase the piece).....Dano P.S. Found 2 dynamite U.S. MKI's but fortunately seller will allow layaway!!!! Did picture French collection thus far (all WWI, all the time!!)................ Dano

Dano, I know what dealer you are talking about. I have never dealt with them, and it appears they are priced a little high, but they do have some hard to find nice looking grenades. Value depends on how bad you want/need a particular item. Decisions, decisions and the joys of collecting!!
