No.12 Mk.1 spinner

Hi F0031,I got one of these some years ago from a scrapyard in Wellington (shrops),there were a pile of them being scrapped from I think Donnington,the one I got looks the same as yours and I took it off a Parachute Retarded bomb tail assembly,I was not allowed to have a complete tail assy.so I took the arming vane,

The No 12 Arming Vane is used on the No 114 (Ballistic) Tail Unit for the British 1000 lb bomb and also on the No 116 Tail Unit for the 540 lb bomb. Both of these Tail Units are still in service. The No 12 Arming Vane was also used on the No. 107 Tail Unit of the 1950-60s - now no longer in service (see the post link in F0031's posting above).
