Hello,
Thanks to Snufkin who kindly gave me two No 5 base plugs, my restoration No 5 is now complete and fitted with a No 5 Mk 1, by Elbank foundry, Glasgow, Dated Feb 1916.
Thanks also to gothica7 who also offered me one to complete my project.
All best to you all,
navyman.

Looks great navyman. That's a beauty made from a relic. The base plug finishes it nicely. I have not yet cut a grenade but been giving it some thought now. I have a NO5 MKI that has a cacked piece on the body and if I do the cut on the cacked section I think it'll do nicely. I am now inspired (tall order these days!). Best to you and yours....Dano
