No. 70 mk i

Interesting Joe. Looks like a Mark 2 (with the fuze adapter) but the casting mark is clearly 70 I.

As Norman says , strange to see a Mk 1 with the adapter . Here's pictures of the Mk 1 & the Mk 2 as normally found . Joe , can you post a picture of your example with the fuze assembly removed ? Thanks , Mike.
 
When we took the pictures we never took the fuze off. This was the last trip we could make to the museum before they packed everything up. I will post the rest of the images we took ... I hope they help.

I don't think the metal tag is relevant to a No 70 , possibly from a 68 ? What is nice to see is the printed paper label giving the type number & details on the fuze cap . VERY rare to see that on any 247 fuze covers whatever the grenade that utilised them & totally correct for the period . Superb !
