I have recently picked up this case? out of sheer curiosity, it is 94mm (3 5/8in) long and 47mm (1 7/8in) dia, it is threaded to accept a primer?? and has a hole in the center. The 4 crimps go all the way around the case, looks to be a sort of home made engine start or something. Don't really have a clue.



It has no markings on it at all.

Just guess. For some kind of (large) cartridge actuated device??? Catapult? Launching device? Ejection seat? Something using a larger volume case with a partial charge for a high/low pressure effect???
