A vist to a fellow collector looking and discussing rifle grenades, looking at complete mint examples of his No3 Rifle Grenade and blown remains of the back end, with the remaining vanes still in place without the shroud. Having a closer look i noticed a very small lug on the back of the vane that spins undone in flight when the grenade is propelled. It seems that this small lug (Hardly noticeable ) seems to fit in the slot of the sliding sleeve below. Anyone know what the lug is for? What do you think?C26B0EC2-0E3D-4231-83E7-D283AABD590D.jpgB4C686FB-07F5-4B95-B535-F2FBFD69FCA7.jpg
