No5 or No23?

Hi to all,
I have bit of a dumb question as grenades are not my subject,just picked up a brass center tube which has been constructed by soldering three brass parts together.
It is marked P.PAT-O.M.G.Ltd-9614-16,which I guess is 1916 dated,would this center tube be from a No5 or a No23 Mills bomb?

Tony . I'm not sure that those marks actually indicate the date BUT that tube will fit any WW1 Mills grenade including the No 36 . Late WW1 Mills grenades are often found with brass centre tubes instead of the more usual alloy ones . Mike .
