Just seen this ! thought it was some bombs at first ! but look closer ..... there PPSH 41`S ? for transport to the front line maybe ? or smuggling ? does anyone know about this picture ?

There was actually an identical design in the U.S. that used Thompson Submachine Guns. They pointed down and forward. The forum below says it was a Thompson marketing idea, but there weren't any brass catchers and the empties from neighboring guns were jamming each other.
