Now the 40MM grenade market will go crazy

That looks like one of the ones that I sold a few years ago when I was clearing out parts of my collection. I still have 2-3 of those left.

As we have said before, the market is what someone is willing to pay, not necessarily what something is worth.

Looking at the bid history, the last hour was extremely active with only two "players". And the winning bidder is (NR) Not Rated, making one curious if payment will be forthcoming.

I suppose everyone has to start somewhere.
The first thing I ever bought off ebay was 400, obviously I was zero rated at the time.

SG500

If I were the seller, seeing an "NR", I'd be curious until the payment was in hand. Just sayin'.

Looks like the wrong casing to me...
I saw this and just shook my head. Some people will pay anything for some things.
There is another auction for three M781 rounds, with an over $100 starting price! You can buy almost a case for that, now! I wrote the guy selling them, and his response was that he was selling them for someone else, and that was what the "other guy" wanted for them.

Sad.

The trend seems to be for the seller to blame the guy they're selling for.
"Sorry, the guy I'm buying for thinks the price is nuts!"
I sure hope that ending is not an indicator of the future of 40mms. vomit.gif

Ran across that reply with a guy on GB truing to sell a Brit 6 pdr on top of a Soviet 57mm AA casing. Wanted (I think still) $250.00+. Tried to tell him what it was but he said he was selling it for another person. I agree with Grog on the 40mm. Looked to be a high velocity case with the M433 stuck in. Cheers, Bruce.

For any piece to fetch a grand in my eyes, certain criteria must be met, least of which I must cream my jeans when I look at it and this one just dont do it for me... DK
